At Wine Street Dental Practice, we recommend bi-annual visits to the dentist for regular check-ups and examinations. This is so we can help keep your oral health in tip-top condition while also keeping an eye on any potential issues or developments.

At your regular dental appointments, we’ll undertake a full dental health assessment, including examining the external anatomy such as lymph nodes, jaw joints, and lips. For the interior assessment, we’ll check over the teeth, gums, bone, and soft tissues, as well as the aesthetics of the bite and teeth. We’ll also examine the mouth for any signs of tooth decay and gum disease before completing a full mouth cancer screening. We may also take photographs and X-rays if we think it necessary.

We encourage our patients to visit our hygienist as often as they come in for a dental examination. Dental hygiene is at the forefront of preventive care and absolutely paramount when it comes to preventing tooth decay and gum disease. These appointments can also leave the teeth looking brighter and healthier, as well as the mouth feeling fresher.
